;D    5th Annual 24 Hour Build    ;D Well here it is guys, the official announcement of the 5th Annual 24 Hour Build.
Start: Noon, Saturday January 29, 2011
End: Noon, Sunday January 30, 2011 As always, any modeler and any model is welcome for this build.
But, for those who like a build theme, a Theme has been set if you care to. 24 hour Lemans type cars, 24 Hour Rolex Cars, 24 hour race cars in general. You get the idea?
This will be cool since the build has been pushed back a couple weeks to coincide with the Rolex 24 hour race in Daytona.
I'm also up for suggestions on how to make the 5th Annual 24 Hour Build even better then the last 4.
How can we show those who never tried this just what they are missing out on?

Sounds good to me guys. Although as I told Bobby with me starting work in April or March I may not be able to get the day off being that I will not have been there for a year yet. Hopefully I'll make it though. I may just have a case of the sniffles in about 54 weeks. As far as the theme I love it and I'm super excited about it. Post pics here right Gary? Pretty much have my kit picked out too. |

There is a change of theme for the Shinnston Crew. We will be building Impalas as a tribute to Ed Ryan. Not sure if Gary and Motown Crew are doing that or not. So pick out your Impala kit and join in on the fun.

Alex its a build where you are build. Just start at Noon on that sat and end at noon on that Sun. Take pics as you go along.

Not sure how many will be building at my house this year. Brian is starting a new job so he might not have it off, havent heard from Will for a while so not sure about him. Might just be me and maybe Travis. Will see as it gets closer. If nothing else I will just build by myself.

I'm in it for the food!!!!! We knew you were in for the food, but are you going to build anything this year? A multi-deck, 18 level sandwich, with a full condement package, is not considered part of the build John. |

Only 4 months to go. Time to get your Impala kit picked out and ready to go. This 24hr Build is in memory of Ed Ryan. Ed loved Impalas and owned a 62. Ed suffered a massive heart attack in Sept 09 and never recovered. He went home to be with the Lord in May 2010. We are doing this an Impala Themed 24hr Build. So if you want to join in feel free to do so.

You don't need to be building an Impala to join in with us. This is your choice to do if you see fit.
I'm still up in the air with my build this year. looking at a few possibilities, and yes one of those just happens to be a '67 Impala. Also in consideration are a couple Tamiya's right now.

I have mine picked out already!! AMT 1967 Impala street machine and I will be putting a pro street chassis under it, just not sure if I am going to put a different hood and motor in it though, although a pro street hood would look awesome......

I've got my choices down to 3 or 4 kits. It will definitely be a race car. Leaning toward a GT40. All black, not too many parts and minimal decals.
