Lowriders are something I enjoy but I don't build every day, or even every decade, and this model is proof. My buddy Matt called it my own personal 'barn find.'
I painted everything and did about 90% of the foil work back in about 1996 or 1997. Lacking proper research material on the tail end trim, and not being well-versed in this whole internet thing, I boxed and shelved it for the proverbial 'rainy day.' Well, earlier this month it finally rained. ;D
A few minutes of dabbling on Google got me the pictures I needed, and about 10 minutes of hunting down & using my foil got me here:
(a silver Sharpie was used for the fine taillight trim rings)
Even the Hoppin' Hydros wheels & tires were in a dusty package; I bought them at a swap meet about 6 or so years ago, not knowing what to use them on. One of my own photoreduced model boxes made its way into this one as well.

I kept this one simple, without multi-layered graphics or candy paint; it's what I like to call "a gentleman's lowrider."
