What a change ! Nice n white. Gotta git ma shades on!!! Greetings Plastic Fanatics, My name is Dave --KW Truck-- Parker form Moundsville WV and I have been gluein' for around 35 years now. Started at 13 when I brought a kit of a "stingray". I thought it was from the TV show Stingray but found out later it was a vette. Living around trucks. I started building them--no painting--just putting them together. In the 70's, when I did paint, it was all one color. My skills did improved through the years. Sci-fi came into play so I collected Star Trek kits also. Late 80's, I joined a model club in my area ( O.V.S.M. ) and was introduced to contests. In '89, my first contest earned me 1st in commercial & best in show. Our club has now diminished it's menbers from 30+ down to 4/5 over the past years and our contest shows are a thing of the past. My trucks are usually kit bashed with some stratch-built, wired engines, carpet, opening doors, steerable axles and lots of everyday details. I still try to make some shows, and put a truck together here & now, but like everyone else, other things come first. I now have my 2 daughters ( one in the club now ) starting to get into the plastic--thank goodness for a 2nd wind. In this club, I'm hoping to give and recieve ideas on bettering myself and to help those who have the same goals of myself---to get one step better than before on model at a time.
