........... twin engined D/Dragsters ................. from the '60's ................ D/D class was for flatheads and inline six cylinders ............. this build is based on the Allred & Clarke D/D from Amarillo, Texas ............. the engines were bored out 292 Chevrolet Irrigation engines (out to 310 cu. in.) ............... Marvin Clarke built the injectors, exhausts, and ground the cam ............ the little beast rewarded them with both the ET and speed National Records The build is based upon the AMT "Two Much" kit, which supplied the frame, front end, front wheels , radius rods and steering linkage ................ the basic engines came from J&S Resins ............ the valve covers are not painted, they came that way ...... Jamie has a secret and it works really well ............... both the rear wheels and slicks came from Competition Resins .............. the "shorty" body was supplied by Altered States Models .............. the paint was my first attempt with MCW lacquers, and I believe I'll stay with them ....... pretty good stuff The "Black Beast" from the high plains of Texas rides again ;D ;D
