Anyone go to Toledo this weekend? If so please post some pics. I heard over a 1000 models entered. i was there....but without a camera.....last count we heard (and left about 5:30) was 960 and counting......HUGE turnout for this show....they usually get about 750 or so....bad thing though, the swap meet was much to be desired....it was down to only 1 hall instead of 2, and there wasn't too much there that you could deal on because of the low vendor count......then you have to look at money out of pocket......the swap meet was $12 to get in (but it gets you a pass for sunday, but KILLS guys like me who only make it a 1 day affair) and it was $10 to get into the contest.....thats $22 just for being there.....and they wonder why the swap meet is dieng a slow death.....JOHN CARLISLE WAKE UP WOULD YA?  there has been talk the last few years of this show not existing for very long.....carlisle isn't a philanthrapist with the hobby....if he doesn't make $$$ he'll shut a show down, and doesn't care......thank GOD there was a HIGH car count....or we would be looking for something else to go to........ok ill get off my soapbox....adam |
