Was talking to Adam last night and we thru out an idea for the next TMM Contest. Mind you this is just in the thinking stages as of now. Prob wouldn't start until mid Feb or March.
Box Stock Ford Build Any 1/24-1/25 Ford, Lincoln or Mercury kit (car or truck) Use only parts in the box. No aftermarket parts. No engine wiring. BMF is ok. Decals from other kits are ok.
Give me you input so I know where to go with this. I will try to round up some prizes from online companies and poss get another forum involved.

I know you can build a Ford. If you don't have one I will send you a list of what I have. I know one kit that you would make a killer build out of. Let me know.

no customizing, lowering, etc or nothing ? Bob If you can do it by simply modding the kit-supplied parts, I'd think it should be allowed. Keep us posted when this happens - I have a Monogram Boss 429 Mustang I've been holding on to for the proverbial 'rainy day.'

How about just use the IPMS Box-Stock rules? In case someone isn`t familiar with the IPMS rules, here is the Box-Stock rules....This is copied straight from the rule book, and applies to all models...planes, cars, figures, etc.........
OUT-OF-THE-BOX entries will be governed by the following rules: KITS. Any commercially available kit may be used. Only parts that are included with the kit and found in the bag or box may be used, regardless of composition or medium utilized by the manufacturer to create those parts. The only exception to this requirement is found in paragraphs IIIB and C below. The host chapter and the National Contest Committee will determine the number of categories incorporating Out-Of-The-Box awards.
FINISH. All finishing techniques are allowed. Decals other than those included with the kit may be used. Insignia, markings, and instrument panels may be hand-painted instead of decaled. Weathering is permitted.
CONSTRUCTION. The modeler may fill seams and gaps; sand off rivets; drill out gun ports, exhaust pipes, or other appropriate openings; thin to scale such parts as trailing edges, flaps, and doors; add rigging and antennas.
IT IS NOT PERMITTED TO: vacuform, manufacture, or replace any part, or substitute parts from another kit; cut or separate canopies, surfaces, hatches, doors, etc. (no major surgery); combine a standard kit with a conversion kit; add anything other than specified on the instruction sheet except as shown in Section C above.
INSTRUCTION SHEETS. Modelers must attach the kit instruction sheet to the entry form. Models entered without an attached kit instruction sheet will not be considered for an Out-of-the-Box award.

Thanks Dave you answered that for me. As long as it can be lowered using the parts in the kit thats fine.
Tommy thanks for posting that. I will add that BMF is ok and if someone wants to open the trunk thats ok. I will get all this in order after the first of the year.
This contest prob wont start until mid Feb or 1st of March.
Everyone that is interested please PM me so I can have an idea of who wants in. I'm talking to Bob Black about including Drastics Forum in this too. I plan to ask for prize donations from some online companies. Anyone that wants to donate let me know. I will keep everyone updated.
