Got this one the other day from a friend who'd attempted to chop it,and lost interest a few years ago...said he just couldn't find the time/stay into building Anyways, here's all he'd done to it when I got it. I have a couple on the bench in front of it,but I wanna jump on it soon...it's been too long since I built an,ahem,Ol Skool Rod. I'm thinking, finish the chop, and Rat it out, either go with a hot rodded flathead,or maybe the big V8 outta the AMT '53 flipnose truck... This kit's been around in one form or another since 1959. I can remember having several versions over the years, but oddly can't remember ever actually building one...weird

I've come to the conclusion (after someone pointed it out to me...I'm a little slow to the uptake sometimes,LOL) the roof will have to have some legnth added before it'll look right,so I called the LHS. It'll be on next week's order, and probably a week after that before I can make the trip.
So,in the meantime,I'll get the top ready for the mods, and get the chassis/etc going...and possibly start another '32 project too ;D

Hey Olskoolrodder-That's a mean chop they got there ! I just finished the same kit with a 4 scale inch chop, when the top is chopped it will "grow" as it comes down--I did'nt use another kit for the roof just leaned the windshield pillars back a tad, the first thing I did was to remove the door/side window pillars at the top and bottom Had to fab new windshield pillars -If you don't mind I'll start a WIP on the '32 Vicky I just chopped to show you how I did it.
