My buddy "Hub Cap" thinks I buy these bodys already chopped but I don't, this is my 3rd try at it. Started out with this I removed the door/window pillars and made a jig for my saw to ride on Cecil

then after the top section is off I snaped the .080 x.188 piece of Evergreen to get the next 4 scale inchs cut With your cut nice and straight the seams are easy to fit and fill Had to re-install the side pillars and lean the windshield pillar back. Cecil

Hey hubcap here. Thanks guys for thinking of me. Cecil I've seen you do this chop numerous times, but I still think you buy them like that. there are too perfect, and besides I still can't do a chop. Its really starting to take some great shape. Motor looks great. Love the wheel choice. Please keep us posted on this build. I want to see it finished soon. Just kidding Cecil, I know you do your own chops and there fantastic to say the least. One day I will try your approach someday.

Thanks for the encouraging words, I like to look at other peoples ideas and have NO problem sharing mine (if'n you want them?)ONE of the cool things about the Revell Parts Pac engines is they are "mini" kits in them self, breaking the build into 4 equal parts.1st is the engine and fitting the body/frame. Now that this part is just about done, next the chassis/frame will be done, then the interior detail and last-after all the fit and finish issues are done the body work gets done. Cecil

I'm glad you like it Olskoolrodder ! I got the interior done lastnight I used the dash from a '53 Ford 2dr.-flocked the floor/carpet,and used the stock front seats but cut the rear section out to install a roll bar where the back seat should be.More soon. Cecil

Thanks guys ! I had to put this one on the shelf for awhile because the pillars didn't come out too well after the chop and the Tenax makes the plastic brittle after it's been soaked a few times. So a friend sent me this old coupe from out of his junkyard. I'll chop the pillars out of it and replace the ones in the Vicky and take the grill for another project and scrap the rest. Cecil
