Hey guys this is my pro-touring style 69 Cougar that I started about a month ago. 2 tone paint scheme. Black over Fiery Orange from Testors lacquer. It still will need about 4 more coats of clear and alot of polishing out. Wheels are from the 91 Firebird kit. I added a chrome sleeve to the back wheel to get that deeper look. Nothing too fancy here, just some engine wiring and plumbing. I needed to scratch build some of the parts of the engine based on the real 428 CJ. I have alot of work still before I will take some more pics, but this is where I am at now with this project.

Oh yeah the interior! The dash is pretty much completed. I will make a few pieces before final assembly. The seats were changed out using some 99 Mazda RX-7 ones. The steering wheel is from my parts box. Not sure what it is from, but I think it lends to the look. I still have to detail the door panels and flock the floor and add some cool looking seatbelts and hardware. Here's where its at now. Well that's all I have for now. Hope everyone likes. Feel free to give me your opinion and comment. I'm always looking for new ideas and other peoples imput. Thanks again.

Hey thanks Cecil. Up to this point I probably have about 20-25 hours, give or take a day or two. I really need to keep up on some of these hours, but then I would feel bad about spending that much time on my hobbies. Oh well where would we be without hobbies? In trouble most likely. I still have alot to do, but sometimes I have to step back and see what needs to be done, and what I need to leave alone. Hopefully I get more done soon. Thanks for your comments.

Hey thanks guys for all of your great input. i really appreciate it. Hey mad modeller that was brought to my attention earlier, and have not had time to replace it yet with a motorcraft one. Great eye for detail on catching that one. I was just so happy building it, I didn't realize I used the wrong battery on this car. That will be changed before the Cougar is finished. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts. Hope to get more done soon.

Hey guys I'm glad your really liking it so far. Z24dude the wheels came from the 91 firebird kit. I did have to had a chrome sleeve to the back wheel for that pro-touring look. Thanks for all of your comments. Hope to have a little more done soon. Thanks olskoolrodder for seeing that small stuff. I figure I would try some more smaller detail while I can still see pretty good. And a little challenge never hurt anyone. thanks again guys.

Well I finally got the interior done on the cougar. Kept it pretty simple and clean. I did change the steering wheel and the seats for a updated look. Got the flocking and seatbelt hardware done. Added a few mags to go with the look. Next time I need to lathe down the shifter. I needed to go with the smaller size head on the shifter. I did add PE window cranks as well. Thanks for looking. Thanks again, and as well all comments are welcome.

Hey thanks everyone for commenting. And thanks for following this build. It's going a little slower than had planned. Eddie I just painted the gauges with some flat black and then just barely tickled it with a little red and a little white. I use a very small artist brush that I got from Michaels craft store. I highly recommend getting one of these. Cost about 4 to 5 dollars. Worth every penny. The brush actually feels like your writing with a fine point sharpy marker. Again thanks for all of the great comments.
