Thanks guy's. I'm really hoping this will be able to be my LAST JOB. It's a move out of my career path in a way. I'm a CNC machinist by trade, my first job in that field lasted 23 years, but ever since then if I get one year out of a place I'm doing good. The new job is in a plant that make's exhaust components for Ford and BMW, to name a few. Seems like they have a great base network of customers, so that if one goes down a little, the entire place wont slow down.

Congrats! I know my wife had a heck of a time trying to get hired again after being out of work for the past 18 months or so. Granted she wasn't laid off as much as knocked up twice rather rapidly Wound up with two part-time jobs that equal full-time hours. I have my full-time Wal*Mart Grocery Delivery gig, so I have the insurance part covered which let her be able to do this instead. She'll be an Instructor at Pennsylvania Institute of Health & Technology (the old Laurel Business Institute for the locals) in their CNA & Medical Assistant program Wed-Fri and then a Psych Nurse at Excela Westmoreland on the weekends. Sure will be nice to be off of my one income again, my hobby budget has been suffering...

Good to hear. Congrats! I have had my same job over the last 25 years. The last three years or so, and to this day, I have been worried about losing it. I hope it never happens. I hear stories like yours and honestly, it scares me. I hope you enjoy your new job!
