AMT 2005 Ford GT

Well, after the crash and burn (or burn and crash) of the Ferrari, I went looking for another project. Came across this one, started in the summer of 2012! Painted in Duplicolor spray, built box stock-ish. Drilled out the vent holes in the seat inserts, added the aluminum exhaust pipes. Messed up the decals, so I need to get my hands on another set. And need to paint and install the wipers. So not 100% finished, but the way things have gone the last few years, this is close enough!



Left the chrome plating on the blower because, well because I just like chrome!


And it looks as if I need to remake the license plate. This one has a spot from me being ham handed trying to touch up the black on the rear panel. headbash Will take some better pics when totally done.

Looks O.K., nuthin' exciting, but a nice addition to a collection for certain. I actually saw one in my area a Summer or two ago. Excessive spending of $$$$, but "free will" and all that. If there's a Hereafter, it may be regretted. Interesting idea on drilling seat vents. Thanx!

Nice looking build! I like the shape of the newer GT. The detailing on the seats looks really good. I don't think i would have the patience.

The price of the real car may be excessive, but the joy of driving a reliable great handling car like this is very hard to measure. (As you may guess I like to drive sports cars on the back twisty mountain roads.)
