hello everyone, my name is Bill Murrieta and I am also known as empinut.
I currently live in Houston TX.
I am 46 and still have the 1st xacto knife my dad gave me 37 years ago when he taught me to build.
I like to build kits.
I do like to collect rare and interesting kit boxes that are from VW kits or 70's Revell. I have 15 of those on a bookshelf right now.
As of 1-15-07, I currently have 43 kits unbuilt with 15 started.
I only have about 8 on my shelf built, as I get bored looking at them, so I sell them.
My collection was as high as 200 unbuilt kits at one time, but it just seemed to add pressure, making building less fun.
As some of you know, I love to build VW models.
I also will build an occasional custom rod.
I have gained a lot of tips, tricks, help and inspiration from the various message boards out there including this one.
If you have any questions about the various VW kits that have been produced through the years, let me know, as I would be glad to help out.
