Twice in his career, Terry Labonte had special paint jobs celebrating his "Iron Man" status ............. that is the number of consecutive starts .......... the first of these schemes was used in 1996 at North Wilkesboro when he tied Richard Petty as the consecutive starts leader .............. and they also won the race that day
....... The second "Iron Man" car ran ta Phoenix in 1998 (a race I was lucky enough to see in person) and celebrated Terry's 600th consecutive start .............. he didn't qualify well, starting in 31st but finished a respectible 10th in a rain shortened race
