Lookin' good slim. Hardly ever see any of the old USAC cars. I've got some color footage of some of them good ol' Yankee boys on dirt with the '64 cars. Hemis and side oilers make for a pretty crowded dirt track. While we're sharing, here's Eddie's worst nightmare, one Mr. Curtis Morton Turner, skirting the Nascar ban by getting in a little seat time in this HM '63 Galaxie.

Saw this car and the white one race several times in Milwaukee while Pops was "banned". I can't remember how well he finished at the mile, But him and Eddie, Nelson, White, all the Nichels drivers worst night mare was Parnelli Jones in the Stroppe Mercury! Out of eight races in 63-64 Parnelli won seven at Milwaukee. Don White won the other one! Great racing! Got to see guys like, AJ, Goldsmith, Herk, Loyd Ruby, Len Sutton, Rodger Ward, McCluskey, et. al. wrestle the stock cars, wish I could have seen them down in Springfield on the dirt, though!

Thats the beast, who else was on that team, Paul Goldsmith, Len Sutton, Joe Leonard, plus Nichels built the cars for Norm Nelson. Allen Kulwicki's dad was Nelson's engine builder.I have a Joe leonard build sitting on the shelf forever I need to finish!
