................. was able to finish this one up today ............... a legend from the AHRA days ............ dickie Harrell was a good friend of Jim Tice and did the majority of his campaigning over in Tice's AHRA playground .......... thus the unusual "427 U/L (unlimited)" classification The model is based upon the Rat Packer kit and a Competition Resins altered wheelbase Nova body ................ however, some modifications had to be made to get the two major pieces to "play well with each other" .............. the Packer chassis had to be lengthened by 1-1/8 inches to fit the wheelwells of the resin body.......... new motor mounts had to be built to allow the 427 Chevy engine to sit in the proper position ............. the other big alteration was to cut down the Rat Packer interior to allow the body to sit lower over the chassis ........... and a rear chassis brace of 1/16th inch tubing had to be fabricated to raise the rear of the body above the front ............ if there's one major problem with the Rat Packer (and associated) kits, it's that the front end sits way too high, especially for the later altered wheelbase cars .................. the engine is the Packer 427 Chevrolet but with Parts by Parks injector ram tubes ............. the paint is Cobracolors Guards Red and the decals came from Slixx Hope you enjoy John
