Can't believe I let this go by. And it was on a Saturday too. Forty five years ago today (5-12-62) Nelson Stacy won the last superspeedway convertible race as the Rebel 300 became just another stock car race. Well, as much as any event run on the "old" Darlington asphalt could be considered "just another race".
