I really did a number on this AMT '64 Impala. It is a 'donation' to my friend's G-gauge railroad layout.

The hardtop roof was 'Dremelized' to look more like a bare convertible top frame, and the tarp was added. I used a faux finish called 'Instant Rust' for the lower areas after a little mechanical weathering with the Dremel tool, and also on the hood finish.
I had a lot of fun putting this one together, and it has been a real hit with anyone who sees it. Ken Hamilton liked it so much he awarded me the 'Tip of The Month' award in SA magazine earlier this year, and I got to meet him at the NNL East in March. Here's my Impala parked at Ken's "Rainbow Motel" diorama:
