I have not been so active fore wile when we talk about the modelhobby. Now i get som spirit fore making a racecar and the classic chevy nova from1966 was the car fore me this time . I cut out the trunk so i can show some stuff tehre like a fuel cell, battery and maybe a nitroztube. the small holders around the opening of the hood and trunk is holders fore the duezlockings. I made a tube chassie in front and i will also make my own shocks . here a little mockup , i painted the car in a bluegreen metallic (volvo paint) ,turned out real good . later some stickers will come and maybe some kind of decor if i found some nice ones. here from the front . i will use a smallblock engine and mayeb i go fore a blower or a twinturbo , have to see if everthing fits like iwant before i decide what to use . more to come soon

Off to a great start. I like the trunk opening. Can you get a good pic of the trunk area?

I have not so mouch time , work shift , i will have my real car on a show this weekend , my other car i get crashed with , a lady runned into me so that car is in the workshop. i had 2 reports made fore a carmagazine ...so mouch to do but i had a little time over fore my nova so here is a few pics i used the lower a-arm (think you say control-arm) from the nova and cut it down and put on the tube in top , the other arms are from the wagon rod , look kind of big so i maybe change it later . the valve covers are from a camaro racing kit and i like the new chevrolet logo on theme so i like to use it on the racingnova . the plans about 2 turbos feel like not , 1 turbo is big enough so 2 are not possible . i think i go fore a old fashion blower on the car , more cool factor then . i found a wing from a old thunderbird dragrace kit and it fits like a glove mayeb i paint it aluminium or the cars color , any sugestions. just to give you all a clue about the plan about the twinturbo nova , we have a real car with twinturbo so the inspiration easy comes to build a model in that way . i have to make a pro mod or so to use thoose turbos . chevy vega twinturbo .

I say paint the wing alum. Do you have any other pics of the twin turbo Vega? oh yes i have a lot of pics of the vega . we got a powerglide last night frome orlando (autoshop) and some other stuff (autoshop owners are from my town in sweden) painted in grey ,looks like a elephant ;D just so the car get mere discret in the traffic . before it was yellow and you can see it on a long way . we have many turbocharged cars here , and some record times too , this is more of a fun cheap project at first and later we gonna take out some serious power . Now i guess we take out 700-1000 hp in the car so a 9 sec run should be easy . later .ohh myyyy ;D then the turbocharger will work with so the power in the engine will be a lot more

I used stuff from a pen and evergreen pipes , turned out good and it looks better in real life i must say . front shock here they sit in the right place , i will do some small adjustments . now i will go on with the steering part and brakes . the engine is painted with aluminium heads ,later details like ignition wires , nos stuff .

Great start. The body color looks great. These are awsome little bowtie cars. Real small and compact and people for years have stuffed real power between the front fenders. And the kits for these are real cool. Can't wait to see more.

Hey Swede, I'd really like to see more detail on this Nova build. Especially the engine and frame work up front.
Alex.
