Leave it smooth. Any plans on a color yet? Yes, I'm leaning to traditional Candy Apple Red over a Gold / Silver faded base. OR a Pagan Gold metal flake. Paul

Man, that's sweet. Believe it or not I've never been a fan of the old Mercs but I'm a big fan of this one. You custom work is breathtaking.

What Brand of paint is that Candy red? HOK? NOPE!!! It's Tamiya Clear Red laquer spray, shot from an Airbrush!! All of the paint is Tamiya spray ,decanned into airbrush. Paul

That was going to be the color I was going to do NOW i KNOW i AM...That is some outstanding paint work Paul keep up the great work and I look forward to your progress pics ...Keep them coming !!!!! I just have to figure out how to do the side chrome

What Brand of paint is that Candy red? HOK? The paint is ALL Tamiya Lacquers, all decanned and Airbrushed with a Axtec air brush. (the new metal one) Tamiya Gold Base, 4 coats of Tamiya Clear Red, 1 coat of Tamiya Clear Pearl and 3 coats of Tamiya Clear Gloss. Thanks for all the good comments, Paul
