Wouldn't mind getting involved Bobby, just not real sure if I could pull something off in that time~**~ You guys planning on doing body paint/graphics too? or just keep it super simple? Write when you get a chance friend!

I do not plan on painting mine, (I'm John Brolin), and am taking some good natured ribbing over it . I may bow to peer pressure and paint it . I plan to polish out my body and lay the decals over that. As I said on Gary's Fotki site, (see above this post), the time saved in painting will be used to decal. I really want to be 100% finished with this car at the end of 24 hours.

It's on for tomorrow, Saturday the 19th at noon. The 3rd weekend in January and time for our 2nd annual 24 hour build. Five of us crazy modelers here in West Virginia are getting together at my place to spend 24 hours straight starting and finishing a model kit. A second team of 2 is also doing the same build at a different location. Here is the website to watch our progress: public.fotki.com/gkulchock/24-hour-build-2008/The second teams link to Photobucket: s178.photobucket.com/albums/w256/JTBRacing/24%20Hour%20Build/Please tune in starting about 11:00 am this Saturday my time for "Pre-race" photos, and ending around 1:00 pm Sunday for final photos in Victory Lane. Your comments on the build are always welcome and can be posted on my above Fotki site. We will be watching this site closely to view the comments and to add photos as we go along. Pass on our website to all your buddies an friends. I would love to turn this into a national event every 3rd weekend in January. I'll be waiting to hear from you during the build. Thanks ...... Gary K. Here is a shot of the 5 of us, last years team!

That is the "before" photo, too bad we didn't think to take an "after' version. I don't think Gary mentioned it, but we all built models from different manufacturers last year and by chance the same thing happened this year.

Can't wait to see pics of your's and Brian's models. And hey, did ya hear??? I'm going to be famous! We may be instituting the "Brolin rule"...all bodies must be painted. (Is this like an "Earnhardt bar")? Anyway, it is very hard to get a model done in 24 hours. I'm going to have to give up the foreign kits and stick to an American snap-tite!
