When mooching around my LSH to-day I came across these little brass wotsits in the ship aftermarket products and my brain went into hyper drive.
They make great ends for shockers.
I had to drill out the alluminium tube with a pin drill to get them to fit. Also had to drill out the brass 'connectors' to fit the piano wire mounting pins they will fit too.
Fist of all they can be installed as a 'sliding' unit then apply a tiny dab of CA to lock the tubes in the finished length.
All in all, quite an acceptable shocker methinks.
