Adding valve stems to your models wheels greatly enhances the model I think, for not a lot of effort. Here is what you will need: Some single core wire. (coated or plain.) Some CA glue. A pin drill with bit the same diameter. as the wire or just a tad larger. The wire I am using is .48mm and is a tad to large to be in true scale but they look too small and almost vanish if you go with the exact scale size. First drill a hole in the rim from the inside of the wheel, through the rim in the appropriate place. Don't forget to clean up the exit hole like I did on this one. Next cut a short length of the wire and poke it through the hole. Make sure that the 'valve' looks to be the correct length then bend the wire to the shape of the wheel and secure in place with a dab of CA glue. Job done. For added realism if you are using a non-black valve stem, you can add a tiny bit if black paint to the end to simulate the valve cap. Or silver if you want to simulate alluminium, steel or chrome caps.
