Very nice Blazer. Would like more details about it. Did you scratch build the shocks?

Hey guys, I will post some frame & motor pics. Almost everything on the frame was scratched...the frame, axle centers and tires are not scratched. Here's the link to my P.Bucket album. If you'd prefer, I will post here instead. Let me know. s46.photobucket.com/albums/f135/BigEd0601/My%20Lifted%20Blazer/Ask me whatever...

Hey HC, what's up? Doug's right. It is the Mad Mudder. I scratched the bumpers and spent weeks trying to scratch-build a cap, but I just couldn't get it right. The wheels and tires are the Iroks from RPP Hobby. I did make aluminum inner and outer rims with aluminum tubing from On-line Metals mated to the Mountain Crushers. I did this just to widen the Iroks.

Great job Larry. It took the place of my 502 SS on the RPP hobby home page and they are very particular about what they put on the home page. Very beautiful build and you've earned well deserved praise praise for it.
Alex.

Big Ed, nice job on the old Mudder! I wonder if the top from the Revell Blazer snap-kit would work? They're both 1/24.

BigEd, You did an outstanding job on this build. I knew looking at the early pictures of this truck it would turn out great. This is one of my favorite builds I have seen on all the message boards.

Hey all, what's up? Lee, I didn't know there was a snap kit of the Blazer. Anyone with a spare cap layin' around? Jake, thanks for the praise. Believe it or not, I'm repainting the Mudder...a little different than what it is now. I'll post pics again when it's done. Lookin' for another project. Got my sights on a couple ebay kits I want. There's some really FAST bidders though. Hey, does anyone know where I can get some dually fenders-1/24 1/25 scale? Anyone casting any? How 'bout someone with some that they know they won't be using? I'll barter. Don't have much but some Pro-Street projects I have lost interest in. Let me know...

Biged,
I have the fenders from the Revell Dually. I would be willing to part with them plus anything else you may need. What kind of pro street projects do you have?

Big Ed, I dug out that snap kit, but I'm not sure if it would work. I didn't realize the top was molded to the body! I have a Mad Mudder body at home, I'll compare them and see if the top would work if it was cut off the snap Blazer body.

WOW That thing is crazy! I love it. With the right backround I would bet it was 1/1 scale for sure!

Ed, I compared the two Blazers. It appears that the length and height are right on, but the top is about 1/8" or so too narrow. So it seems that if the top were cut off from the snap kit body and widened that much with a strip of plastic, it would be a close fit! I'd hate to turn loose of just the body, but I'd be interested in trading off or selling the complete kit. That way if you looked it over and decided it was too much work, you could still build the mostly stock Blazer. Let me know!

Thanks Lee. Sorry it took so long to reply. I will pass on the Blazer, but thanks for the offer. A lot on my plate right now. Currently re-doing the Mudder. Startin' another project or 2 (or 3, or 4...you know how it goes).
