Well, Ive been modelling for a while now, but ive only done a couple off roaders, and this is my first stab at a fully functioning off-roader. first off, just for a background, i really had no idea there were so many aftermarket parts for scaled models. I wish I knew before now. I had a pair of aoshima 38" swampers, and I wanted to do a ramcharger, but i lost the bid so i went and grabbed this jeep. I was gonna just jack it up and throw the tires under it, but it had coils all the way around with trailing arms so the gears began to turn. the end product is what you see here. everything except some fender trimmin and the suspension is stock. The springs actually came from a carb tuning kit(pink accelertor pump springs from an edlebrock 1405 for those mechs out there) they worked out pretty good, but I had to add alot of weight to the truck. basically almost all the internal parts are filled with JB weld during installation, then the tires are lined with 1/4" dia. lead fishing weight. pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mopar1_mech/album?.dir=5860scdthe next 2 im doing is a wrangler hard top wit working leaf springs, and a wrangler soft top with coil overs. I also want to do a ramcharger to match my real trail truck, but they seem pretty hard to get ahold of. mopar1 I couldnt figure out how to get my pics to show here, so theres a link to the yahoo album. anyone who could tell me how to make them show here would be graetly appreciated
