Willys the True Utility Vehicle that has stood the test of time
At the age of 16 years old I became the proud owner of one of these Willys Trucks Man what a Vehicle and the storys I could tell you. I ended having five of these trucks through time.
I have a pile of these die cast trucks but once RMR cast this I had to have it and build one.
I Started this model on Friday and finished it up tonight
It was a fun build- I started with the RMR resin kit (body,frame)
The parts box provided the front and rear housings.
The wheels and tires are my own resin castings along with the Ford 300 Six cylinder engine
I scratchbuilt the plow and the wrap around bumper for the bed
Overall I am pretty satisfied with the outcome
I lightly weathered the truck to depict a vehicle that was only a few years old and has been slightly used and not beaten up
I used my old barn as a back drop to enhance the overall presentation
