My dad, who's recently gotten back into building after more years than I've been alive, has cracked into the Scout kit I gave him. I fully expected him to replicate the 1:1 he used to own, but to my amazement, the old guy had a neat idea. [ ] I like halfcabs, the first gen Bronco being high on the list, so I decided to whip open a Scout and have a go at it myself. We're both pretty green at custom bodywork so bear with us. You've gotta start somewhere, and sitting-on-yer-butt-doing-nothing doesn't make perfect. So have a look at our two different halfcab ideas, and let us know your thoughts. I won't say whose is whose just yet but- One of us went for a straight B-pillar, and will use the removed roof section as a tonneau cover, the other one chose an angled B-pillar, a smooth tonneau, and filed the roof smooth to match. Who likes what, and why (not?)

I like the second one more, the roof is more factory looking .....kind of what Jeep did with their 1/4 ton CJ in the 70's. The other is nice ,but looks more custom than factory. IMO. Paul
