I started this earlier this spring, its been a slow process with several other projects going on at the same time. Amt/Ertl 1993 Ford Ranger turned into a Class 1400 Baja/BitD pre-runner. I originall intended it to be just a weekend racer/daily driver, but it's evolving into more of a full on racer. Scratchbuilt working front equal-legnth beams/radius arms, coil-over shocks attached ot the shock/engine cage. Scratchbuilt rear bed cage, working leafsprings, shocks, fuel cell, etc. American Satco Bridgestone Desert Dueller tires, Aoshima wheels. I modified the kit fenders as seen in the pictured-how to. I have about 18"+ suspension travel in the front, 15+ in the rear. www.modeljeeper.fotki.com/models/inprogress/pre-ranger/tinyurl.com/y498vjEnjoy, please comment. Richard O. modeljeeper

Sweet looking build. Some great scratch building there. What are your plans for color?

Going 'flatbiller' style with at least white fiberglass front fenders, maybe the rear too. Still playing around with color ideas in my head, but I gotta finish all my fabrication first. Thanks, Richard O. modeljeeper

Medium safire blue metallic with metallic gray cage and chassis??? Looks great Richard. Flatbiller might even be flat black fenders and bedsides. As long as the glass does not match the paint.LOL! I really like this one . Doug R

Sweet Ranger man. It is looking great. I used your fender idea for the bedsides on my silverado, it works great cutting the middle section rather then taking off the entire thing or putting new fenders on. Thanks. Suspension is beautiful, it looks like it works perfect. Hope to see some more progress. I like the color Doug said.

Man-oh-man...talk about scratchbuildin'. That truck looks awesome. And all the cage work---great job Richard. I can't wait to see it in paint.
