REVELL 359 CONVENTIONAL TRACTOR

This has already been started and is now 80% done. but i thought you would like to see it. I made all the aluminum tank's, air cleanners, stack's, air brake tank's and both front and back bumper's, and rear fender's from scratch . Also i extended the hood chop the top extended the front of the frame 1/2 inch and the rear 1 inch. did all the murals by airbrush of the movie 300. the body is candy brandy wine over orion silver base and the frame is the same color just over lavender pearl base. It has taken me over a year off and on to get to this point. It should be done in a week or so.

here are a few more pics of the stuff i got done last night. made all the aluminum trim molding's for cab and sleeper and hose platform. also got all the airbags done. and made a custom visor .

real fine pin needle's.. That's the only way to go, this way you don't have to wory about the trim coming off. the only glue i used was when i pushed the needle through the pre-drilled hole.

Im almost done with the rig, all it need is the fuel tank's,stack's door's, and bumper's then i can start with the trailer.

Rustycab I will go to that forum tomorrow and post some pic's.

I got some more work on the Pete done. The Fuel tank's where the hardest to do , but now they are done. It's down hill from here. They are pined strapped and have rubber straps under the uluminum one's. I can also unstrap them by pulling a pin. The Pete itself is already nice and heavy.

I want to try and take it out of state to a few of the other NNL's around the U.S. Let's see what happens. here is a pic of the rig and driver. ;D . All It need is the air & Electrical line's from cab to trailer, and a few Lil handle's here and there it will be done.

The only thing left on it is the air and power line's. Got to find the right size wire for it. Oh and the bumper's.

I agree with ferrari Chip. A very nice build. Is that the movie "300" logo on the back of the sleeper? I think I just found a use for all those "donk" wheels I hate. They will look about the right size on a semi.

WILDRICE. I mainly do the so.cal. shows and a few AZ NNL'S but never been back east. I plan on going to the NNL East this year or at least one of the big shows out there.
what's the show you recommend.?
THANKS Ferrari chip.. I try and give them something different at the shows. now a day's you got to wow them in order to win anything, and leave no drought with all this favoritism in shows.
gkulchock. it is inspired from the movie "300" that was one of the best movie's in 07. I had to make it match the trailer with all it's mural's.

I'll jump in here for the recommendation for what show to come east for. I have been attending the NNL East for years now and I have yet to be disappointed. Clear your schedule for the weekend of April 12 and be there. Over 1000 models and tons of vendors. Make sure you look me up. Check out my Fotki site for photos from past NNL East shows.

Do you have the address of the venue. so i can make plan's for that trip and see if it will be OK with my schedule. I got 3 week's of vacation this year and 1 week will be used for the NNL West in march.
