I pulled this one down from the bookcase for pics this week: I rescued this one from glue bomb hell(the trash), and made a pretty snazzy shelf model out of it. Not worrying about an engine, chassis or interior is kinda refreshing; I had tons of time to make the body look good. I'm hoping to shoot some better pics(without the base) soon, but here's what I've got for now: public.fotki.com/VWDave/my_model_cars/vw-golf-mk1-gti/

Very nice VW. Do you know what kit it is?

Thanks, Bobby. I'm not 100% sure which kit it started out as, but I have it narrowed down to 3 possibles: *Arii *Otaki *ESCI At one time or another, all three of those companies owned/used the same molds. I've currently got Golf, GTI and Cabriolet kits by all three makers.

Cool Dave, I did not know you were into VW's? LOL! I have not forgot about the Kubel wheels for you. Doug R
