very nice. i actually started the patina look in socal in 1981. Too bad no one noticed or called it that back then. I had a 64 beetle cal look...lowered, 5.5 inch chrome reverse, 145's & 165's, 1835 with dual 42dcnf's, with sanded down paint and primer touchups. I could not afford paint for 1 year so I drove it around town and took a lot of grief for driving a "junker". I loved it and I love the style that I see in the euro mags. Yours fits the bill perfectly.

Very nice. I like the look you gave it. I drove my 70 Bug around for several years in primer. Paint doesn't make them run better.

I love the tiny details like the missing trim, and the paint finish is very impressive too; it reminds me a lot of my friend's '67 Type 3 Fastback, the color of which is called 'red flannel' at our house. ;D
