Our VW club's summer/fall picnic was held on August 25th, and it was at the home of my friends Pam & Doug; as luck would have it, I finished the '65 I was doing as a gift for them the day before. As many of our core group of members were in attendance, the little car was very well received.

I also took the opportunity to photograph all of my completed Beetles models together, including the black '56 I did for them in 1996; I borrowed him back a few days in advance. This little grouping spans about 12 years:
