(These are not the old “WheatWalls”, this is a new product made of different material)
These are the same detailing items I have made and used for years on my own models,
a number of which have won at various shows and have appeared in
"Scale Auto Enthusiast" and "Model Cars" magazines.
(I'm NOT saying this to brag, just mentioning it so you'll know this stuff must be decent, that's all. When I look at the models at contests, I always think the other guy's models are much nicer than mine. Just like when I see the pics of you guy's models on here, or see them at club meetings or shows. You guys build some KILLER models, no doubt.
Maybe I'll get to see some of 'em sporting some of my detailing stuff. That'd be cool..)
But anyhow, back to my original post, lol
The Self-Adhesive Whitewall Inserts come in two sizes:
Narrow (especially good for cars from the early 60's through the 80's)
Wide (good for cars from the 30's through the 50's,
also great on vintage Hot Rods and Rat Rods)
But hey, they look good on whatever you want to put 'em on.
Rustycab said he's using the ones he bought on his weathered subjects.
I've used 'em that way too, and I've also mixed 'n matched the narrow
with the wide on some models as well (beaters, hot rods, etc).
And of course, the Redlines look great on MuscleCars
They're easy to use and apply.
(About 100 times easier than painting whitewalls on..
That's how I used to do it.. What a PAIN!! lol)
That's why I came up with these self-adhesive inserts
They're a real time-saver (and nerve-saver), and they look great
I've got a quantity of the Whitewalls and the Redlines done
and I'll have 'em at the Sharon Show (there's posts about it on here)
coming up this Saturday (1/20/07). So, if you're going, you can get some there.
They're $5 at the Show (you get multiple sets of 4, not just one set).
You can also order some online. Just pm me on here
I will post some pics soon of the inserts. Not much to look at by themselves lol,
but I'll post some pics of them on tires and on models too.
OTHER DETAILING ITEMS AVAILABLE SOON INCLUDE:
SCALE LICENSE PLATES- All 50 States plus DC, Canada, and more.
Plates from the 1920's to present plus specialty plates available for most States
