I got the urge to do a custom, its been a few years so I had forgotten how much sanding was involved. So far, its had a chop, most trim removed, custom front pan from kit molded in, and the custom taillight extensions from the AMT 57 Chevy kit. I'm open to ideas for the paint, but I'm leaning toward light primer on the roof and a darker color for the rest. I'm also open to engine ideas. The kit's big six has been put in another car. I scratchbuilt a batwing aircleaner, and that would probably look better on a V8 anyhow.

Go with a modern Vette engine. For paint I say go with any color and keep them a satin finish. Great start.

I agree with Bobby on the color. Be sure to keep us updated on this one. Looks pretty cool so far.
