I agree with Gary. It would be a shame to cover that goreous paint with decals. It captures the look of every car I day dreamed about during high school. Another nice job jeryd.

Was this by any chance a Sox and Martin kit from Johan? Looks good. Like its still from the 70s. The Keystone wheels and tires really pull it off. If you plan for it to be a competition car strictly for the strip and no street time, then it needs some decals. At least the class and car number in the window, possibly a name (naming the cars seems to be common back then), and maybe some lettering from local sponsors to give it that local hometown racer feel to it.

Beauty! From my time period!! Drag class was usually shoe polish on glass, names were only to keep your girl friend happy and Every body had an STP, High jackers and a Thrush decal somewhere and if you were good ....a few race winner decals on the quarter windows or rear glass. Great build!! Paul

Yea this was a sox and martin kit, it was molded in green, the green kept bleeding threw the white, so it got changed.
I have another one that is going to be a sox and martin cuda, about half way done with it!

I have this kit. Mine's the Testors version. It's been in progress for about 9 or 10 years. Can't seem to make up my mind on it. Great paint. Nicely done.
