Here is one of my current projects, the Rat Trap Vega from AMT / Model King. The wheels/tires/hubs are from J&S Resins, really like the way they look. Have robbed an AMT NASCAR kit for wheel backs and the rotor/caliper setups. Still not sure about using the kit motor or going with something else. Oh yeah, the headers in this kit are terrible, gonna try and make my own. Thanks for looking! Sully

OK, here is an update on the car. Chassis is pretty much done. First time for me running brake and fuel lines, not sure how accurate everything is, but I am satisfied for my first attempt. Still working on the motor, getting ready to do the final shape on the headers - making them out of solder and aluminum tube, another first for me. Body is painted, am very please with the color and the way it came out. After it dries some more I am wanting to add the orange stripe to it. Thanks for looking. Sully And if you want to see a few more pics of it, they are here: [ftp]http://s207.photobucket.com/albums/bb298/fireguy14/modifieds/Rat%20Trap%20Vega/[/ftp]

Here's a little update on the Vega. Motor is in, chassis is all but done. Still have to add the battery, come up with a coil, and add a fire extinguisher. Had some trouble with the orange stripe, part of it pulled off on the rear deck, and the portion on the roof is not straight. Gonna try and fix it, just to see if I can. After looking at it, not so sure I like the extra orange anyway. Thanks for looking. Dave

Here's one last update, next time, hopefully, she'll be done! Outlined the orange with black stripes. Not perfect, but think it kinda gives the home painted look. Battery and coil are in, screens are added, and new prefilter installed. Was going to use Hoosier transfers, but the ones I got evidently have gone bad, or were not good to begin with, so I just used some Goodyears I had. Thanks for looking. Dave
