That's a neat project truck. I had a chance to buy a really nice one with a 350 like 6 years ago for $2,000. Unfortunately I was spending the majority of my money at the time on girls and beer....mostly beer. Can't wait to see this come to life Mike. Any ideas on paint? You could always have a few of your Mad Modeller brethren show up with some flat black and flat o.d. green rattle cans and camo it. Wait, never mind terrible idea I've been in Waynesburg too long. Help. ;D

Small update..............got the headlite trim rings painted, then wasnt to happy so i cleared them this afternoon......then got the whole front pieces off like the cowl, front bumper side mirriors and door locks..... Supposed to rain for the next three days so i guess i wont be getting to much done............. Appoun inspection the rad support has been replaced before so thats cool! bad news is i need to sand it down in a few spots cause know one ever primed or painted it.........no biggie cause its light...... Headlite trim rings..........(installed yesterday) Then everything was takin apart this morning......

Me and my son was busy sanding this afternoon....(he did most of the work tho)..........with rain coming afew hours later i grabbed my can of stop rust, gave it a few coats and let it set up,i had a new can of flat black (rattle can) and coated everything, so we should good...... Tomorrow i am gona run and get some primer in quart containers and get it in a better coat of primer. only problem is i checked on line and they dont carry flat black in quarts major bummer i hope its just a typo! but i guess i can use grey just as long as i shoot the color shortly after............. I grabbed the air gun and checked it out and it seems to be working, had to change the quick connector to my style.......... Ok onto the pics, hope you all dont mind its not much of a big update yet................ I'm hoping to get some of the sand blasting done tomorrow on the lower rad support...Its nothing major but if i leave it alone in afew years it will be beyound repair...........Also need to pull the headlits and buckets out. and the turn signal buckets as well............

Manage to get a new passenger fender today as well as a gallon of flat black primer and a gallon of primer grade Lacquer thinner........ My oldest got the fender off my youngest son removed the hood hinge and also helped with the bottom bolt...........this and that. I manage to get part of the rad support sand blasted to take car eof acouple small area before it became a big problem later, then sealed it in with rust killer, once that dried i sprayed it with a rubberizer, did the lower half of the rad support and the fenders that stuck past it. And also did the inside of the new fender (sprayed it with Rubberizer)... Heres a few pics. After some sand blasting and sprayed the whole thing with rust killer With the rubberizer sprayed on... The little purple spots is rust turning back into metal..........

Looking good MJ. Not as easy as a model resto is it? Metal cuts a lot harder that plastic. Keep at it.
