Hi all. I am fairly new to airbrushing, I have done a few parts here and there and recently did my first body. It is dry and I am ready to clearcoat it and I decanted some clear from dupli color into a jar. How long should I gas it out before I airbrush it on? Also, what are some of your recommendations as to which clear works well? Thanks in advance!

I've never heard the term 'gassing out' used in reference to unused paint, but I might be wrong....I don't decant or airbrush at all. I've only heard it used when talking about paint curing after application.

I see no reason not to use the clear straight from the can. When finished the results are the same. Just apply it in thin coats and dont forget to wet sand and polish. I use airbrush and rattle can applications. It just depends on what type od paint job it is and what kinds of paints are available in the colors that I want. I use Dupli-color clear from cans on all of my jobs. Airbrush or otherwise. Hope this helps.
