So ..... what happened to the Koenig Mercedes? It's been a month since I've posted anything on this build, so I thought I'd bring you up to date. The window frames have been painted and the clear is on. I'm waiting on some of the new carbon fiber from Matthew at Scale Motorsports to cover the ground effects, and he'll have it for me at NNL East. So, ...... time is being put into the Rat Vega to have it finished for the NNL East, and the Koenig is now planned to be finished for the MaMa's Boyz show in Maryland on May 9. I'll try to get a photo or 2 up here soon on what is done. ;D

Gary this is a sweet looking ride. I love all the extras you did to the body. Great choice on color as well, do you get funny looks when you are in the nail polish section? I go to the Jewelery section and get looks from people. I have got to the point where I make sure the wife is with me now.

Thanks, she's coming along nicely.
I do get strange looks at the drug store but the ladies in Sally's know what I do. Take some photos of your finished models with you to the store. The ladies at Sally's loved it.
I did play with the mind of a check out girl at Pharmor once. I was checking out about 6 bottles (3 each of 2 different wild colors) of polish and noticed her trying to get a look at my fingernails. Figured I play with her, so I leaned over an told her in a very soft "sweet" voice (if you know what I mean) .... "I see you checking out finger nails, .... but you can't see my toe nails, can you?"
The blank expression on her face was priceless.

;D NNL East is history, The Rat Vega is Finished, time to finish up the Koenig Mercedes This has got to be one of the hardest cars I've ever polished out. Lots of notches, dips creases and steped panels. Well here's a taste of the polished out car. I'm about 50% finished on polishing. No wax yet, just polish.

Now that my part on the 4x4 is finished, I figured I better get back on some of my other builds. Here is the Koenig Mercedes, fully polished and waxed.

I need to get moving on this build. Ferrari Chip and I are planning on hitting the Toronto Group 25 show on Sept. 27th in Canada, and I'd like to have this one there. Got most of the interior painted Satin Black tonight. I had originally started painting the interior Ivory but it just wasn't looking right. Carpet will be grey Detail Master flocking. All of the Carbon Fiber has been added to the underbody spoilers. This is the new stuff from Scale Motorsports and it is fantastic. Get some! I still need to polish out the clear on these. And I've changed my mind on the wheels. I was going to use Lamborghini wheels but these "Victrix Pleasure" Aoshima wheels are the BOMB. VIP Car #38 By the way, the wheels are sitting on sheets of the new Carbon Fiber I mentioned. Big Brembo Brakes are getting ready to do there job. Stay tuned ..... More to come shortly. Later Guys.
