Getting back to building after a long layoff and decided to start with something fun. mostly revell parts from various kits. Gold parts are from an original 69 or 70 dune buggy thats been sitting around forever. There was no flash compared to the numerous reissues. let's see where this goes. Bill

updates Primered chassis ready for main paint scheme and a little detail painting. Added a homemade exhaust system and pins for the 40 dcnf's. You hardcore vw nuts know what im talkn bout. First coat of gold on the under body as a base for the candy lime is dry. Painting the top of the body tmorrow. This is one of those low pressure, "if u can't see it, I ain't worrying about it" builds.

I like it a bunch so far, mister Bill....but I'm kinda 'buggy-biased' anyway. Please keep us posted how it goes.

Cool little build. Where did you get the carbs and exhaust?

That is going to be one sweet little buggy. Can't wait to see it finished.

thanks guys. i custom made the exhaust using scrap pieces, the revell muffler from a dune buggy kit & the megaphone from the monogram lil van kit. The carbs were found in a parts box at a swap meet, pretty sure they were the carbs that came in the late 60's amt indy car kits. Box in the front of the pic. The revell empi manifolds are trimmed down to keep the carbs under the dune body.

Cute as a button, mister Bill! I really like the 'bigs & littles' on it, and that megaphone doesn't appear to have any baffle in it(a man after my own heart ;D)
