This is a Willys G /gasser from about 1961/2. The lower gas classes were just a competative as the higher classes and IMO much more inovative. This particular car ran at Islip Speedway on L.I. until the mid 60's. The chassis has the disc brakes replaced with period correct 1948 Ford drums. The front tires are from the Revell '48 Ford kit , the rear 8" Firestone slicks are from one of my childhood 32 Ford builds. The engine is an injected,bored and stroked 1953 Ford.Hooked up via a home made adaptor to a Hydro stick. The filled hood is a fantastic casting from Drag City. Paul

The nose is getting modified to a Fiberglass Trends Repop. Paul
