I had not built a model in about thirty years. One day back in December of 2005 while vacationing in a little town in the hill country of Texas, my wife and I were shopping in an old 5 and dime store. They had an AMT 62 Bel Air. All of a sudden I get this idea in my head that I should buy the model and build a replica of Rex White's 1962 Nascar Chevy. Rex White had always been my favorite all time Nascar driver since I was 10 years old. I built the model and had so much fun doing it that I decided that I would try to build all the cars Rex had driven in his Nascar career. So far I have built his 62,55,57,and 60 Chevy's. I still have his 56,58,59,61,and 63 Chevys to build. I also plan on building his 64 Bud Moore Mercury which was his last Grand National car to compete in. I'm also a big fan of Ward Burton and am currently building his 1995 Grand Prix. If your interested , my photobucket link is smg.photobucket.com/albums/v212/texwardfan/. This looks like a great site and I'm glad to be here.
