Does anyone use aftermarket parts? I've been doing regular box builds, and have used aftermarket decals. Now I'm thinking of getting more detailed with my builds. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to get aftermarket parts. I've checked out places like Detail Master, Modern Motorsports, etc online, but have not used any of their products as of yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

You need to PM jtracing or sarge on here. Both build some awesome cars and I'm sure they can help you out.

If your talking Photo-etch then I would have to suggest some Detail Master items. To get your feet wet try some wire looms and spark plug wires. This will spruce up your engine bay a bit. Try a racing harness or seat belts and kick up the interior detail a notch. There's a little something for everyone.
By the way, I'm not only a Detail Master customer, I'm also the designer of their photo-etch. (I feel like I just did a commercial!)

I agree with Gary on this one. Try some Detail Master photo-etch items or wiring. You can go as basic as you want to some rather detailed items. Another source I like is Model Car Garage. If you are doing a certain kit they may have a photo-etched sheet designed specifically for that kit. There are other companies out there but IMHO these are two of the best and their products are easily found.

Thanks guys! I do believe I'll be trying some Detail Master parts. I have also checked out MCG, so we'll see how it goes.
Thanks, Sean

I thought you were talking strictly NASCAR aftermarket parts. Detail Master is one of the best. If doing a Tamiya or other Japanese kit then I suggest Studio 27 or Scale Motorsports.

I do mainly work on NASCAR stuff. And, that is what I'll probably work on as my first detailed build. I'm sure I'll eventually branch out to other stuff.
