Hey everybody, it's nice to be here. Well my name is Will Ryan and I live in a little southwest PA coal town called Waynesburg. I'm about 20 miles from Morgantown WV and about 50 from Pittsburgh PA. Anyone in the area? Well I'm 27 years old and I work as a welder in a metal fab shop. Long hours but more modeling money. My modeling interests seem to jump around depending on my mood. But I'm really into old gassers and early 60's super stock drag cars. I love traditional rods and vintage dirt cars as well. But I'll pretty much build anything that catches my eye. I've talked to some of you on other boards and have had great experiences since I discovered modeling forums ( not the most technologically saavy guy around ). I look forward to seeing and posting builds on this forum in the future and to meeting some really great modellers I hope to call friends. Thanks for being here, can't wait to jump right in. -Will

Gary and Bobby I would definitely like to go to a meeting, but unfortunately I work 3pm til 1 am Mon-Thurs. This being the main reason I've never joined a club. I don't wanna join one then be a deadbeat and never show up at meetings. If you guys are interested I'd be into having a modelling session some Saturday or somethin? Cause I'd like to get in on the 24 hour build as well but it would be impossible at my house (I have a 2 and a 3 year old, should be enough said). So I'd need some buddys for that. Thanks for the welcome and the invite. If I can make it someday I'd really like to. I'm trying to get on day shift so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks. -Will

Will, have you ever been down to Fairmont? Have you ever been to Whitehall Book & Craft?, (that is where we have our club meetings). It seems like I may have met you. Your story sounds vaguely familiar to me. I used to go to Whitehall on Saturdays and help out in the model section. I would be interested in a "Build and Bull" session on a Saturday.

Hey Will. I dont have the biggest place but you can join the 2 of us building at my house. I'm sure I can make room for you. I have a 6 yr old and a 14 month old but Mom usually keeps the lil one out of our way on the 24 HR build. If interested maybe we can meet up at the hobby shop on a Sat and BS a while. We had fun at the last one.

No Nacho I've never been to Fairmont. I just moved to Waynesburg within the past year. My wife is from here. I'm originally from Pittsburgh but I've lived all over. I'll have to check that place out. If you could give me directions I'd like to go to the hobby shop. We'll figure it all out. This weekend is bad because of the holiday. Do you guys put on any shows? Is there one in your area of WV? Talk to you soon guys. -Will

Easy to get to the Hobby shop. I79 South to Exit 132. Take a left at the exit ramp light. At the 3rd light hang a right. Go about 1/2 mile and Whitehall Book and Craft is on the right side. You will see a salvage yard called Pickup City on the left. A show in your backyard on Sept 28th in Pittsburgh.

Bobby nailed the directions to Whitehall Book and Craft. Yes, we have held 7 OUTSTANDING shows. The club decided to take a break. Lots of work to put on a big show. If you want any info. about Whitehall Book and Craft let me know. Lots of kits, Tamiya paints, photo-etch. He can get just about anything you want.
