You guys should have seen this thing in person. It is a true work of art. I know Jeremey was looking at it all day in Zanesville. Congrats on winning best Flame Award with it too.

Love the concept and execution on the Mustang. How many hours do you have in it?

Love the concept and execution on the Mustang. How many hours do you have in it? well, it was our Clubs "same kit Night" kit. We got it in February of 2007 & I was about 85% done with it in november. but about 6 months of that time was research. I really wanted to make it as lifelike as I could. the hardest part of the entire build was destroying those beautiful wheels ( it took me about 3 weeks to actually pull the trigger on the pencil torch). a close second was making a nearly flawless red finish & then covering it all up with smoke / fire damage. I won 1st place in the scratchbuilt category @ the columbus IPMS show. All day long there were firefighters looking @ it & discussing how 'accurate' it looked. that made me feel somewhat proud. I'm glad to show it off too. i doubt you'll see many builds like this, & since nearly everything has been done w/ the new mustang already, i decided that it was different enough for me. another hard thing to choose is what category to put it in @ a show. i've been tempted to stick it in the diorama section, since it's nearly that. Scratchbuilt is a pretty good spot to put it. i feel that it's not really worthy of the Misc. category. At zanesville, I put it in Street machine, since it fell in that category, sort of.

Very cool! I can verify without a doubt that you captured the look of a burned out car very well!
