Show/contest weekend is here finally! The bad part - transporting my builds. For some stupid reason, I don't think about transporting them until the night before. EVERY TIME. ;D Eventually I'll get it right...

I'm not a big fan of packing my stuff up for travel either, mostly due to my fear of damaging them, and it always seems to be the last thing I do before setting off.
My 'V-bucket' had its grille shell come loose on the way to the NNL East this year, and I set it in place for display....even in the pic that made it into the SA contest annual, it's just resting there. The really sad part? It's still not reglued. ;D

I did the same thing last night... spent twice as much time removing dust than packing safely. Not very smart for a model that I took over nine months to build.
Are there any good ways to pack up models? I am experimented with zip lock bags blown up like balloons to squeeze the model in its box. John

Actually a guy over at TMH reccomended taking styrofoam in the bottom of a box, and wedging toothpicks in at angles around the build to keep it in place. Sometimes my mind just doesn't work....

A lot of guys use foam cut out so the model sits down in the pocket. I use empty brake pad boxes from work to put mine in. Then I have a craft case my Mom gave me to put all the boxes in. I will try to get a pic to show what I'm talking about.
