65 Chevelle

This started out as the 65 Chevelle modified stocker. I do not like the way this car sits when it is built OOB so the first thing I did was cut the back half of the chassis off and build a half chassis. Used a long trailing arm suspension out of a Nascar kit along with the roll cage out of the same kit and cut a little bit off the bottom of it so the body would sit lower. Other parts used from the Nascar donor were the seat, part of the dash, small block engine, fuel cell that I cut down to a more appropriate size for a short tracker and shocks. I used the tires that came in the kit and grooved and sanded them. The wheels came from TJ's Custom Castings. The paint on the chassis is Testors lacquer Lime Ice and the body is Testors lacquer Inca Gold. I made the decals.

Mike, this is one of my favorites, I love how you fabbed the long truck arms, ya need to flip this sucker over and show everyone! Makes a stupid come alive as a credible, feasible race car! Great job!
