I call it the " GO-'MAD" Built just for fun, I didn't duplicate any particular car I just wanted to do an early 70's-era Gasser, try to capture that wild, sky-high, Gasser look, almost like a cartoon come to life.. Built from the latest issue of the good old Monogram 1/24 Nomad (which has only Stock or Street Machine build options), a good bit of modification, scratchbuilding and kit-bashing was needed to turn this wagon into a Gasser - including moving the rear axle forward 10 scale inches (10 inches forward as measured at the center of the wheel hub) The car is partially in primer on the passenger side because of a paint reaction with the custom-made decals.. Instead of gettin upset I just decided to take advantage of the foul-up to add some character to the car - I removed the chrome trim strip on the front fender, drilled some mounting holes, roughed up the side of the car a little, masked part of it off and shot it grey primer, like a car that might've got squirrelly and scuffed the rail a couple of weekends ago, and they're still in the process of finishing the repairs.. I may add a Moon tank in the grille opening - I had to find a small one, that opening isnt as big as it looks lol.. (those are vintage P.I.D. decals on the side windows) Thanks go to to Sully for the cool vintage Gasser pics & "Dragracin' Doug" for the traction-bar tip!

Looks great Rocko. I like the primer on one side. Gives the build a lil character. Glad to see you building again.
