Mickey Thompson made Hemi heads for Fords 427 FE motor and put the package in one of his 2 Ford Thunderbolts. The car never preformed to his expectations. The car has been restored for a while.I recently got over 100 detail photos of the car and the engine. The T-Bolt was #11 so there was some differences from the later ones, also Mickey did some mods particular to the Hemi FE. Here is the start. The Revell 427 block was built out of box, the heads are from the SWC Willys. The Valve covers are modified from the Gibson 392 Hemi. The intake is from the AMT 70 Ford police car, with the end runners modified to match the M/T manifold. Paul Spring tower braces 427 FE conversion so far..

now that is going to be a different t-bolt! i always liked to watch the t-bolts run when i went to lions drag strip back in the day. especially the stick ones. they had these short rectangle tube traction bars welded to the rear end and attached to plates on the frame in front. they ran airlift airbags in coil springs in the front and rear. when they would shift gears the body of the car would jump straight up and plant the tires. ah, those were the days.
