I'm declaring it finished! I've bothered you guys enough! Here's a review of what it is: Early 90s short track racer made from an early AMT NASCAR Thunderbird kit. Cut the top clean off, chpped the roof pillars and narrowed it about3/32". V cut the rear quarter and put the tail up a tad(I think a little too much, next one will be less!). Cut back the cowl and shortened the front clip and wheel base about 1/8'.Wheelbase is now 105', like ASA Hooters, Busch, at the time. Scratch bashed an offset chassis, rear steer, and , what you called it Rod? Underslung? rear. The frame rails go over the axle. Not real common, but still plausible. My next chassis like this will, at least be a front steer!Ford motor and tires from the same AMT kit. Wide fives from frm PPP I purchased from Fred. Window glass was a new challenge! Cut from .010 clear acetate, trail and error, flush mounted with 5 minute epoxy, and used Pactra Trim Tape for the window seals. Evergreen .010X.030 strip for the window straps. Tamiya paint, my decals, the most modern racer to come out of the Slim's Barbeque?/Louis Brothers shop. I am 80% pleased with the results. The redeaming factors are I tried new things, aquired new skills, and believe the next one will be better! Thanks everyone for your patience and interest!
