OK, I started this in the wagon CBP thread, but did not get it finished. Thought I finish it up here. Got a lot more done to it yesterday. Chassis is all but done, just have to add the shocks. Was going to go with aluminum, but am now thinking of changing them to blue. Also need to do some touch ups to the paint. Engine is in, and with a LOT of filing, sanding, coaxing, cursing, and tense moments, the headers are in. Not totally even, the right side ended up hitting the starter, and I now cannot use the oil filter. Think I'll find a remote filter set up and use that, just need to figure out where to run the lines. Also used the Detail Master header flanges. Like the way they came out, but putting the bolt heads on was a pain! I lost 3 of them in the process and got way too much super glue on a couple of spots. Mr. Kulchock recommended 5 minute epoxy to add the bolts. Think that might be the ticket for adding the bolt heads, will try that next time. I also added a double layer of masking tape to one flange to act as a gasket, was pleased with how that one turned out. Made a new set of tailpipes instead of drilling out the plastic ones with the kit. The opening is not parallel to the body panel like I had intended, but I did get them even! Yall let me know how they look and any ideas you have for them.

OK, now that I got some more rivit decals, and got them on, this one is all but done!!!!!!!!!! YEAY!!!!!!! I had thougth that I wouldn't post anymore pictures until it was done, but I just had to show this last mock up. Couldn't decide on a color for the bright lights, either blue or yellow, so I originally decided on blue. Then for whatever reason I painted them yellow. Still can't decide if I like them as is, or if I should go back and redo them as blue. Am also trying to decide if there needs to be another row or 2 of rivits on the roof, especially next to the angled portion of each roof insert. Anyway, like I said the next pictures posted up will be of the completed car. At the lastest it should make an appearance in Cookeville. Dave

Nice job Sully. You really outdid yourself on this. Everything looks perfect. I do like the brights in yellow. They offset the blue tinted roof panels really well.

Well, it's DONE!!!!!!! Woohooo, yeehaw! Couple of little touchups, and a good coat of wax in another week or so. I cannot believe that I finally got it done. I really wish it had been done in time for the wagon contest, and even tho I made a valiant effort, like staying up til 3 a.m. 2 nights in a row, then watching my kids, it was not to be. Glad I didn't try to rush it up. I'm at work now, so no pics. They should come out tomorrow.
